Olive oil tasting afternoon

Venue: Market Garden at Tolhurst Organic Produce, Hardwick Estate nr Pangbourne.

On Sunday, September 7, 2pm Slow Food Oxon will organise an Olive Oil tasting session ar Tolhurst Organic Produce in South Oxfordshire.

 

Come join us for some delicious home made soup and bread and then learn everything about olive oils with our special guest and tutor Judy Ridgway.

 

Judy Reidgway is an olive oil expert and consultant. She is also an author, journalist and broadcaster specialising in all aspects of taste and flavour. Her latest book “Judy Ridgway’s Best Olive Oil Buys Round the World” was published in September 2005.

 

Judy is an international judge in olive oil and acknowledged authority in wine, cheese, vinegar, mustard, condiments and charcuterie.

 

We shall kick off at 2 pm with the soup and then Judy will take us through the intricacies and secrets of single estate, single variety, extra virgin, cold press and other types of this fascinating product.

 

A cheque of £10/person (£12 for non-members) should be made payable to Slow Food Oxon and sent to the address below. Due to some fixed costs we will have to charge the full fee everyone who fails to show up or cancel 5 days before the event.
