Review of Previous Year

Tamara welcomed members to the AGM and reviewed the events of the previous year.

She raised the ongoing issue of encouraging more members to attend convivium events. Current membership stands at about 90 members.

Review of Convivium Accounts

Members had a chance to review the accounts prepared by the convivium's treasurer, Geoffrey Whittle. They were accepted and unanimously approved.

Membership of the Committee

Pete Terrington was nominated and accepted as a new member of the SF Oxon Committee. The other committee members - Ian Bird, Muryel Boulay, Jeremy Rowntree, Tamara Schiopu, Geoffrey Whittle and Liz Wilding - will continue to serve.

SF Oxon Leadership

As previously announced, Tamara Schiopu informed the members present that she would be stepping down as leader of the Convivium (although she will remain on the committee).

Geraldene Holt expressed her thanks to Tamara, who originally founded SF Oxon, for dedicating so much time and effort to making the convivium such a success.

Muryel Boulay was nominated and unanimously approved as the new leader of SF Oxon. She takes over from Tamara effective immediately.

Draft Plan of Events

The draft plan of events for 2008 was presented to the members. The plan will be posted on the website so it is available to all members. Dates and exact venues will be fixed as soon as possible and updated online.

End of the AGM

The AGM was called to a close. The session was followed by a single malt whiskey tasting organised in conjunction with the Balvenie.
